Final-Year Student Dies in Lokoja Road Accident

Abdukarim, a final-year student, tragically lost his life in a road accident on Friday afternoon in Lokoja, Kogi State, shortly after completing his final exams. The incident occurred around 5:28 PM, opposite Kogi State Polytechnic, when Abdukarim allegedly tried to avoid a wheelbarrow pusher on the road.

He fell onto a trailer moving at high speed, resulting in fatal head injuries. Eyewitnesses reported the severity of the incident, and a source indicated that Abdukarim had just visited relatives in Idah before the crash.

His death has prompted an outpouring of grief from his classmates and the community, with the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) describing the loss as heartbreaking. Hassan Mustapha, the president of NAKOSS at Kogi State College of Health Science and Technology, emphasized Abdukarim's dedication and positive impact on those around him.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the accident and reported that Abdukarim's body was taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lokoja for an autopsy.
