29 Killed in Adamawa Attack, Governor Fintiri Vows Justice

On a Sunday, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri confirmed that no fewer than 29 people were killed in an attack on the Guyaku community in the Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The governor visited the site to assess the impact on the community and described the incident as tragic and unacceptable.

He expressed heartbreak over the loss of lives, stating that the act was cowardly and would not go unpunished. Fintiri assured residents that the state government would intensify security operations to restore peace and prevent further attacks.

He also extended condolences to the families of the victims and reiterated his administration's commitment to working with security agencies to improve safety in the area, where residents, including women and children, have fled their homes due to fears of further violence. This attack follows similar incidents reported in the Wuro Ladd community in the Hong Local Government Area of the state.
