First Lady's N2B Donation Boosts Akwete Weaving Industry

Senator Remi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, visited the Akwete weaving community in Ukwa East, Abia State, where she donated N2 billion to support the improvement and expansion of Akwete fabrics. Hon. Sam Onuigbo, President of Globe Legislators International and former lawmaker, stated that this visit serves as a crucial impetus for the growth of indigenous cottage industries and aligns with Nigeria's economic diversification efforts.

Onuigbo commended the First Lady for her commitment to inclusive economic development, cultural preservation, and women's empowerment.
