Senator Bindow Rejoins APC, Endorses Party Candidates

Senator Bindow, the former Governor of Adamawa State, officially re-registered as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his ward in Mubi on Sunday. The re-registration was attended by the Mubi ward APC Chairman, Alhaji Ahmadu Guruja, along with Bindow’s supporters, family, and friends.

Bindow stated that his decision to return to the APC was rooted in respect for party discipline and followed extensive consultations with political associates, including discussions with Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima. He noted that many former colleagues and supporters encouraged his return.

Bindow described a recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu as “pleasant and memorable,” with the President expressing happiness over his decision. He endorsed all APC candidates and urged voters to support President Bola Tinubu and gubernatorial candidate Ahmad Tijjani Galadima.

Bindow clarified that his return was not driven by personal ambition but aimed at strengthening the party for electoral success. He previously withdrew from the governorship race under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in May 2026.
