Four Arrested After Eight Killed in Kebbi Clash

The Kebbi State Police Command announced the arrest of four suspects linked to the deaths of eight individuals in a violent clash between farmers and herders in Gulma Town, Argungu Local Government Area. The incident reportedly began after a farmer was allegedly killed by a Fulani herder, leading to a retaliatory attack by members of the farming community on a nearby Fulani settlement.

The police spokesperson, Bashir Usman, identified the suspects as Musa Makera, Said Adamu, Shafi U Hamza, and Adamu Madugu. They will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The police emphasized their commitment to maintaining peace and urged residents to refrain from taking the law into their own hands. The command is intensifying efforts to identify and arrest additional suspects involved in the incident, ensuring that those found culpable face the full weight of the law.
