Four Arrested in Farmers-Herders Clash in Kebbi State

The Kebbi State Police Command has apprehended four suspects linked to a violent clash between farmers and herders in Gulma Town, Argungu Local Government Area, Kebbi State, which resulted in the deaths of eight individuals. The suspects are identified as Adamu Madugu, Musa Makera, Sauwa Sa Idu, Adamu Sauwa, and Shafi U Hamza.

Police spokesperson Bashir Usman Fridai stated that the suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in a competent court on charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and culpable homicide. The command has intensified efforts to identify and arrest others connected to the incident, assuring the families of the victims and the general public that justice will be pursued.

Police Commissioner Umar M Hadejia emphasized that anyone found culpable will face the full wrath of the law and urged residents to remain calm and refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
