Fresh Herdsmen Attack Forces Residents to Flee in Benue

In the early hours of the day, residents of Ugboju in the Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State were forced to flee their homes due to a fresh attack by suspected armed herdsmen. Hon. Jimmi Nart, a candidate for the Labour Party in the 2027 elections, confirmed the ongoing attacks and raised alarms about the situation, stating that families are being targeted by what he described as Fulani terrorists.

This latest incident comes less than 48 hours after another reported invasion by armed herdsmen in the Otukpo Nobbi community, where 18 people were killed. The number of casualties from the recent attack has not been independently confirmed, but the situation has prompted urgent calls for residents to protect themselves amid rising violence in the area.
