ICPC Links El-Rufai to Multiple Properties in Egypt

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has discovered multiple real estate assets in Egypt linked to Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State. The investigation, which is ongoing, focuses on financial misappropriation during El-Rufai's tenure from 2015 to 2023.

The properties include three villas and six apartments located in highbrow areas of Cairo. Notable properties include a villa in Arabilla Estate and another in Banafsik Estate, with purchase prices ranging from $1,000,000 to $1,300,000.

Additionally, apartments in Cairo Festival City are priced around $500,000. The ICPC's probe has revealed that these properties were acquired between 2021 and 2023.

The commission is also investigating allegations of phone tapping by the Department of State Services (DSS) related to national security advisories concerning El-Rufai.
