Fubara Endorses Tinubu, Backs Wike's Rainbow Coalition

On Wednesday, during the groundbreaking and foundation-laying ceremony of the Rivien Medical Industry project in Rumuosi, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State Governor Fubara publicly declared his support for President Bola Tinubu's second term and endorsed Kingsley Chinda as his preferred governorship candidate in Rivers State. Fubara's remarks, which have circulated on social media, indicate a significant political realignment in anticipation of the 2027 general elections.

He stated that peace had returned to Rivers State and encouraged his supporters to join the Rainbow Coalition, a cross-party alliance that includes members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other political groups backing President Tinubu. Fubara emphasized his commitment to the coalition, urging total support for its candidates.

This declaration follows his withdrawal from the APC governorship primaries in May 2026, a decision he made after extensive consultations and personal reflection.
