Fubara Supports Army Chief, Highlights Security Progress

On a recent courtesy visit to the Governor's House in Port Harcourt, River State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, for his efforts in strengthening security and improving the welfare of military personnel. Fubara expressed confidence in Shaibu's leadership and the Nigerian Army's advancements within a short period.

He welcomed the decision to host this year's Nigerian Army Day celebrations in River State, viewing it as a sign of improved security in the region. The governor assured the Army Chief of his administration's continued support for military operations in the state, pledging to provide necessary resources for effective operations.

He also acknowledged the role of the Nigerian Army in maintaining peace and security in River State and attributed the rise in Nigeria's crude oil production to the Army's efforts against pipeline vandalism and oil theft. Lt. Gen. Shaibu thanked Fubara for his support and assured continued collaboration to enhance security in the state.
