FUTA Teaching Hospital Seeks Support Amid IPPIS Concerns

Prof. Olusegun Ojo, the Chief Medical Director of FUTA Teaching Hospital, has made an appeal for stakeholder support and understanding regarding concerns related to the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) during the hospital's transition to a fully operational tertiary health institution in Ondo State.

He emphasized that the establishment of the teaching hospital marks a significant milestone, but the task of transforming it into a globally competitive institution has just begun. Ojo reiterated the commitment to implement a memorandum of understanding between the Federal Government and the Ondo State Government to ensure the hospital's success.

He outlined the hospital's vision to provide specialized tertiary healthcare services, train medical and allied health professionals, and conduct high-quality research. Ojo acknowledged the challenges ahead and stressed the need for a long-term focus rather than immediate gains.

He expressed appreciation for the support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, while also addressing concerns raised by former staff regarding the IPPIS exercise.
