Gbenga Power Declares Candidacy for 2027 Reps Seat

On Monday, Hon. Gbenga Oyekunle Power formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections during an iftar gathering with APC stakeholders in Offa.

The event featured prominent figures, including Hon. Suleiman Olatunji Laaro, the executive chairman of Offa Local Government, and Hon.

Nasiru Adekunle Moshood, the APC chairman of Offa. Power expressed a genuine desire for selfless service rather than personal enrichment, citing his long-standing record of private interventions and responsible management of public resources.

He highlighted his contributions, such as facilitating the construction of 22 boreholes across the community and providing support to hundreds of households during the COVID-19 pandemic. Power assured stakeholders of his commitment to inclusive governance and ensuring that the voices of the people are heard in decision-making processes.

The gathering also included a cash donation to reinforce financial loyalty within the APC in Kwara State.
