PFN Urges Tinubu to Address Economic Hardship Beyond Salary

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has commended President Bola Tinubu for his salary donation to the Armed Forces, describing the gesture as noble. However, PFN, represented by its President David Bakar, advised the President to go beyond this act and implement measures to confront the escalating economic hardships and insecurity across the country.

The statement emphasized the need for transparency regarding the total value of the donations made since Tinubu assumed office. PFN highlighted the deepening economic strain on citizens, citing rising fuel prices and the removal of fuel subsidies, which have led to increased transportation costs and food inflation.

The organization called for the federal government to introduce a comprehensive social safety net to alleviate the hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians, stressing that while support for the Armed Forces is vital, immediate relief measures are necessary for the wider population.
