Gombe PDP Youth Leader Jamilu Kalshingi Resigns

Jamilu Ali Kalshingi, who served as the Youth Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, has officially resigned from both his position and the party, with the resignation taking effect immediately as of 31 August 2026. In a letter addressed to the Chairman of PDP, Bolari West Ward, Gombe LGA, Kalshingi expressed that his decision was made after careful consideration.

He described his tenure as an honor and acknowledged the collaborative efforts with party members towards youth development in Gombe State. Kalshingi stated he would remain committed to the state's development but did not disclose his future political plans.

His resignation comes shortly after the defection of Ahmed Yayari, the former PDP National Treasurer, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), where he joined the campaign of APC governorship candidate Dr Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna.
