Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunni Ewul as Chief of Staff. This announcement was made on Thursday, following a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi.

The appointments are effective immediately, and the new appointees are set to be formally sworn in at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the Executive Chamber of the Government House in Port Harcourt. These appointments mark Governor Fubara's first cabinet changes following President Bola Tinubu's intervention in the political crisis affecting River State.
