Governor Abba Yusuf Enforces Traffic Discipline in Kano

On Monday, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf personally supervised traffic compliance at Kofar Fanfo Junction, spending over an hour ensuring that motorists obeyed traffic light signals. This initiative aimed to restore discipline and order on Kano roads.

The governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, commissioners, and other senior government officials. Yusuf directed motorists, commercial drivers, tricycle operators, and pedestrians to strictly comply with traffic regulations, highlighting the importance of adherence to traffic lights for the safety of lives and property.

He announced plans to reposition the Kano Road Traffic Agency to function effectively as a professional traffic management agency focused on road user safety. Yusuf expressed his commitment to creating a safer and more efficient transportation system.

He criticized the recklessness of road users and emphasized that traffic offenders should be monitored and punished to ensure that the newly installed traffic lights are utilized effectively.
