Sokoto PDP Group Affirms Participation in Abuja Convention

A political group within the Sokoto State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly countered claims that it is distancing itself from the upcoming national convention scheduled to be held in Abuja. The group, led by Dr.

Abubakar Danmafara, refuted a statement attributed to the state party's public secretary, Hassan Sanyinnaw, which suggested a disassociation from the convention. The group emphasized that the views expressed by Sanyinnaw do not represent the majority of PDP members in Sokoto State.

They reaffirmed their commitment to the PDP, stating that they are actively participating in the convention and supporting the re-election of Hon. Umar Batur as the national organizing secretary.

The group called for unity and dialogue within the party to resolve internal disagreements, stressing that the success of the PDP relies on collective efforts from all members across the state.
