Sokoto PDP Group Supports Wike-led Convention Plans

A political group within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State has strongly refuted claims made by the state chapter's public secretary, Hassan Sanyinnaw, regarding the party's distancing from the upcoming national convention scheduled to be held in Abuja. The group, led by Dr.

Abubakar Danmafara, emphasized that the state remains an integral part of the PDP and that the statement from Sanyinnaw misrepresents the views of major party members in Sokoto. They asserted that hundreds of party faithful from Sokoto are already mobilized to participate in the convention, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the party's unity and progress.

The group also expressed full support for the re-election bid of Hon. Umar Batur as the national organizing secretary, indicating that their presence in Abuja will reflect their active involvement in the party's affairs.
