CSANS Defends AIG Moshood Against Media Trial Allegations

The Coalition for Security Awareness and National Stability (CSANS) issued a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, condemning the media trial against Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, AIG Jimoh Moshood, orchestrated by activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM). CSANS, led by National Coordinator Comrade Ibrahim Musa, criticized the campaign as reckless and damaging to public confidence in Nigeria's security institutions.

The coalition emphasized Moshood's nearly three-decade career in the Nigeria Police Force, highlighting his rise through the ranks based on merit and professionalism. They noted his impactful tenure as Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, where he led proactive operations against crime and improved community engagement.

CSANS argued that while public officials are subject to scrutiny, allegations should be pursued through constitutional means rather than social media, advocating for due process in addressing any claims against Moshood.
