Osun Group Empowers 200 Women, Backs Oyebamiji for Governor

The socio-political group, Peculiar Peoples Progress, empowered over 200 women in the Aiyedire Local Government Area of Osun State during an event held in Ileogbo on Tuesday. This initiative was part of their efforts to mobilize support for Bola Oyebamiji, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday.

Each woman received food items and N10,000 in cash as part of the empowerment program. Mrs Ige Adeyanju, the coordinator of the group, stated that this gesture was a way to reach out to those in need and to encourage participation in the upcoming election.

Adeyanju expressed confidence that the local government would support Oyebamiji, emphasizing the influence women have in their families and communities. She noted the loyalty of the people and described the empowerment as a form of appreciation for their steadfast support.
