Nigerian Group Criticizes Sowore Over Leaked Court Footage, Alleges Breach of National Security

A northern ethnic youth group in Nigeria has condemned Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, for allegedly leaking video footage of ongoing court proceedings involving the Department of State Services (DSS). The group accused Sowore of contempt of court and breaching national security laws by circulating a video clip showing a lawyer cross-examining a DSS operative in a cyberbullying case instituted against the secret police.

The leaked footage was described as a mockery of the judiciary and a grave breach of national security. The group emphasized that the leaked video exposed the identities of DSS operatives, violating the nation's security laws.

The group called for Sowore and his legal team to face the consequences of their actions, noting that ignorance of the law is not a defense. The group urged the court to impose appropriate sanctions on Sowore to deter others from similar actions.
