Hamzat Hosts Dinner to Share Vision for Lagos Development

Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos and the governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election, hosted a private dinner on September 29, 2026, organized by 7-Fifteen Capital in Ikoyi. The event, themed “Lagos: The Next Chapter,” gathered approximately 150 young business executives, founders, and investors to discuss the state's opportunities and challenges.

In his keynote address, Hamzat outlined his priorities, emphasizing innovation, inclusion, infrastructure, and the need for a conducive environment for businesses and residents. He specifically mentioned healthcare, youth opportunities, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and security as critical areas for development.

Hamzat introduced his **Digital Lagos 2.0** vision, which aims to leverage artificial intelligence, blockchain, and smart-city technologies to enhance digital governance and position Lagos as a technological hub. The evening included a fireside conversation addressing sustainability, town planning, and public-private partnerships, allowing business leaders to engage with Hamzat on how government policies could impact investment in Lagos.
