Hamzat Unveils Vision for Lagos as Africa's Safest City

Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election, outlined his vision to make Lagos Africa’s safest mega-city during a gathering of approximately 150 young executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders in Ikoyi, Lagos. He introduced his “Digital Lagos 2.0” initiative, aiming to leverage artificial intelligence, blockchain, and smart-city technologies to enhance governance and position Lagos as a leading technology hub.

Hamzat emphasized the need for innovation, infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to propel Lagos into its next developmental phase. He stated that the ambition is to create an environment where people and businesses can thrive.

The event, hosted by 7-Fifteen Capital under the theme “Lagos: The Next Chapter,” allowed Hamzat to engage with the private sector on business challenges and opportunities for economic growth.
