Hit-and-Run Driver Kills Two Policemen in Osun State

On Wednesday, a hit-and-run accident occurred along the Osogbo-Gbongan Road in Oogi Town, Osun State, resulting in the deaths of two policemen. The Osun State Police Command, represented by spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi, reported that the officers were traveling on a motorcycle when they were struck by a Lexus car driven by an individual identified as Kehind Tobi.

Following the collision, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The police have since recovered both the Lexus car and the motorcycle involved in the crash, which have been taken into custody for further investigation.

The police command has initiated a manhunt to locate the driver. Additionally, arrangements for the burial of the deceased officers, in accordance with Islamic rites, have commenced.

The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the accident to track down the driver responsible.
