Ikabigbo–Ekperi Road Reconstruction Boosts Edo North Economy

The ongoing reconstruction of the Ikabigbo–Ekperi Road in Edo North senatorial district has generated optimism among residents and road users, who anticipate enhanced transportation and economic activities upon completion. Heavy construction equipment is actively engaged in reinforced concrete drainage, stone pitching, grading, and road-base preparation, indicating significant progress on this strategic road project.

The road is crucial for farmers, traders, students, and commuters, linking rural areas to commercial centers. Mr. John Mayaki, promoter of the Edo-Nigeria’s Construction Site initiative, praised the project as evidence of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s commitment to development across the state.

Mayaki emphasized the economic significance of improved infrastructure, stating that better roads reduce transportation costs and enhance market access. He noted the focus on long-term durability through proper engineering practices at the site.
