Edo State Showcases Road Projects to Journalists

Journalists undertook a two-day inspection tour of major road construction projects across Edo Central and Edo North, organized by the Edo State Ministry of Works. The tour was led by Governor Mondai Okpebholo and Engr. Dr. John Obanor, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.

The initiative aims to address long-standing infrastructure deficits and enhance connectivity throughout the state. Key projects inspected included a 7.66-kilometer access road to Edo Technical College, the 7.67-kilometer Ikabigbo-Ekperi road, and various flood control works.

The second day featured eight additional projects, including the 21.98-kilometer Ukhun-Idoa-Ewu road and three flagship highways executed by Setraco Nigeria. Contractors assured timely completion of projects, with residents expressing appreciation for the government's rapid intervention in addressing erosion crises and improving essential services.
