House of Representatives Warns Defaulting MDAs on Inquiry

The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee, which is investigating the establishment and operations of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, has issued a final warning to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) that did not respond to its invitations. This warning was articulated by the committee's Chairman, Mr.

Yusuf Gagdi, during a meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday. Gagdi characterized the absence of these agencies as a significant affront to the constitutional oversight powers of the House of Representatives and an unacceptable disregard for the authority of the National Assembly, which represents the will of the Nigerian people.

He emphasized that the investigation is in the national interest and reiterated the committee's commitment to conducting its work professionally, fairly, transparently, and without bias.
