Amaechi Accuses Jonathan of Chasing Him from PDP

In an interview, Rotimi Amaechi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Minister of Transport, disclosed that he was chased out of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) by former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience Jonathan. Amaechi claimed that they took control of the political structures in Rivers State, which led to his departure from the PDP.

He stated that he had confronted Jonathan multiple times regarding their disagreements over policies. Amaechi emphasized that he would not remain silent as the PDP's actions could lead to irrelevance.

He mentioned that after Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the APC primaries, he was advised not to agree with Jonathan's policies, highlighting the ongoing political tensions within the state and the party dynamics.
