Customs Officers Killed by Lakurawa Terrorists in Kebbi

Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, confirmed the deaths of two customs officers who were killed by Lakurawa terrorists in Kebbi State. The attack occurred around 3 AM, and Adeniyi described the officers as having paid the "supreme sacrifice" to ward off the threat posed by the terrorist group.

He expressed regret that military operations by the Nigeria Customs Service had not yet arrived in Ilorin for a scheduled conference. The incident disrupted Adeniyi's trip to the fourth biennial international conference organized by the Faculty of Communication Science at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philology at RUDN University, Russia.

During the conference, a minute of silence was observed to honor the slain officers, and Adeniyi assured that the incident would not deter the service from carrying out its mandate.
