Joint Security Operation Rescues 308 Kidnap Victims

On Wednesday, a coordinated security operation led by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian military, operatives of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC), and the Nigeria Police Force, successfully rescued 308 kidnap victims in Kwara and Niger states. This operation is described as one of the largest and most successful rescue missions to date.

The rescue was executed simultaneously across both states, with 163 victims abducted from Woro Community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, and 145 victims rescued in Niger State. Following their rescue, the victims are currently receiving medical attention at the Military Medical Facility located in Wawa Cantonment, New Bussa Local Government Area of Niger State.
