Nigeria's New Offensive Rescues Kidnapping Victims

The recent offensive against insecurity in Nigeria has resulted in the successful rescue of five kidnapping victims along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway. The operation, which took place last week, involved the Nigeria Police Force and was coordinated by the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu.

This initiative, referred to as "Oper Kosay," aims to combat the growing threats of kidnapping, banditry, and other violent crimes that have escalated across the country, including regions previously considered safe, such as the southwest. The operation led to the neutralization of four kidnappers and the arrest of additional suspects.
