Troops Rescue 11 Kidnap Victims, Arrest 21 Terrorists

Nigerian security forces conducted coordinated operations under Operation HADIN KAI, Operation Fansan Yamma, and Operation MESA between July 21 and July 22, resulting in the rescue of 11 kidnapped individuals and the arrest of 21 suspected terrorists, collaborators, logistics suppliers, and drug peddlers across Borno, Zamfara, and Kogi states. In Borno, troops arrested three suspected ISWAP logistics suppliers near the New Abbaram Resettlement Village in Bama, recovering food staples intended for terrorist use.

Two teenage girls escaped from the Grazah terrorist enclave and surrendered to troops in Gwoza. Combat engineers detonated two IEDs along the Dambua-Bulabulin-Kumala road and secured fragments from a third device on the Cross Kauwa-Kekeno-Monguno Road.

In Zamfara, troops engaged terrorists along the Gambada-Gummi-Sokoto road, leading to the abandonment of the kidnapped victims. In Kogi, a suspected informant linked to Kachallah Babangida was apprehended along with three others, and logistics couriers were intercepted.

Ongoing search-and-rescue operations are underway in Owo, Ondo state.
