Ogun Police Aid Woman in N300,000 Surgery Debt Waiver

The Ogun State Police Command intervened to help Precious Mathew, a bereaved woman from the Ogooluwa area behind Owode Market, who faced an outstanding N300,000 hospital bill after losing her baby following a Caesarean Section at Longe Hospital Medical Centre on June 30, 2026. Precious had already paid N100,000 of the total N400,000 bill.

Upon learning of her situation, Commissioner of Police Olubode Bode Ojajuni engaged with Dr Babanki Samuel, the medical doctor at the hospital, to appeal for compassion and understanding. Following this intervention, Dr Samuel voluntarily waived the remaining N300,000 balance, allowing Precious to leave without further financial burden.

The police emphasized the importance of dialogue and compassion in resolving disputes and commended Dr Samuel for his generosity during this difficult time for Precious.
