Shallipopi Halts Public Commentary on Dapper Dispute

Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, known as Shallipopi, has announced that he will no longer publicly discuss his dispute with his former manager, Damilola Akinwumi, also known as Dapper, while the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigates the case. Shallipopi stated that his legal team and the EFCC advised him to refrain from public commentary to ensure justice is served.

This decision follows his earlier accusations against Dapper Music and Entertainment Limited regarding the withholding of royalties from 46 of his songs. Shallipopi emphasized that he stands by his claims but understands the importance of allowing the legal process to unfold without interference.

He expressed frustration over his inability to address the matter publicly, stating that everything he has worked for since his teenage years is tied to this issue and he remains hopeful for a just outcome.
