Adekanmbi Pledges to Complete Circular Road Project in Oyo

Bimbo Adekanmbi, the governorship candidate for the Allied People’s Movement in Oyo State, announced his commitment to completing the Circular Road project if elected in 2027. Speaking at Thames Hotel in Ibadan North-West on Thursday, he revealed that he lost a parcel of land in the Ona-Ara area due to the ongoing road construction, which began in March 2024 and has affected several communities.

Despite this loss, Adekanmbi asserted that no sacrifice is too great for the state's development. He praised the project as essential for societal access and pledged to address any issues related to it.

Adekanmbi, who previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Finance, clarified that he is not a stooge of current Governor Seyi Makinde, whom he respects for his intelligence. He emphasized the importance of continuity in governance and expressed support for local government autonomy.

Adekanmbi plans to unveil a manifesto with specific targets for his first year in office.
