ICPC Chairman Advocates Learning from China's Anti-Corruption

Dr. Musa Aliyu (SAN), Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), stated that Nigeria will continue to learn from global best practices to strengthen its anti-corruption policies. This statement was made during the third edition of the International Diplomatic Dialogue, themed “Experience Sharing in Anti-Corruption Policies and Strategies: The Chinese Perspective,” held at the ICPC Headquarters in Abuja.

Dr. Aliyu noted that corruption poses a significant threat to Nigeria's political, socio-economic, and developmental progress. He acknowledged China's success in combating corruption through institutions like the National Supervisory Commission (NSC) and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).

The Provost of the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria, Prof. Sheriff Ghali Ibrahim, remarked on China's transformation into a major economic power due to its strong anti-corruption measures and called for comparative learning between Nigeria and China to enhance accountability and support sustainable development.
