Igbo Youths Losing Values to Immorality, Says Ezeonwuka

Chief Rommi Ezeonwuka, the founder of the Ogilisi Igbo Foundation, has expressed concern over the declining moral values among Igbo youths, attributing their issues to immorality and laziness. He launched a crusade aimed at reinventing the moral and social values of the Igbo people.

Ezeonwuka highlighted that the Igbo community is traditionally known for industriousness, honesty, and hard work, but has opened itself to foreign religious values that do not promote entrepreneurship or wealth creation. He lamented the loss of influential Igbo billionaires, such as Ekenedili Chukwu and Sir Louis Ojukwu, due to a lack of cultural adherence.

Ezeonwuka criticized the current educational system for failing to equip youths with requisite skills, leading to idleness and engagement in negative activities. He urged elders to guide the youth against pride and arrogance and called for collaboration with military and police forces to teach valuable skills.

Ezeonwuka's message emphasizes the urgent need for cultural preservation and youth engagement in productive activities.
