Ikeja Electric Names Ogochukwu Onyelucheya Acting CEO

Ikeja Electric has appointed Ogochukwu Onyelucheya as the new Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. This appointment follows the transition of the current CEO, Folak Soetan, who has been with the company since 2020 and will now take on a broader strategic role within the energy sector.

The leadership transition aims to strengthen the company's leadership and accelerate growth and innovation across the power sector value chain. Kola Adesina, Chairman of Ikeja Electric, commended Soetan's transformative leadership, highlighting significant improvements in operational performance and stakeholder confidence during his tenure.

Ogochukwu Onyelucheya, who has over 20 years of experience in business strategy and financial management, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of London. She is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

Onyelucheya expressed her commitment to enhancing customer service and operational performance at Ikeja Electric.
