Imo CP Audu Bosso Reports Major Crime Fighting Success

Audu Bosso, the Commissioner of Police for Imo State, provided an account of his stewardship over the past two months, detailing successful operations against crime. The Imo State Police Command arrested a total of 184 suspects involved in various criminal activities, including kidnapping, terrorism, armed robbery, cultism, murder, and sexual assault.

Notably, three kidnapping victims were rescued unharmed during these operations. The command recovered two AK-47 rifles, eleven AK-47 magazines, three M16 rifle magazines, five locally made double-barrel guns, four locally made pistols, and a total of 382 rounds of assorted ammunition.

Additionally, vehicles including a blue Toyota Highlander SUV and an ash-colored Mercedes Benz GLK were seized. Significant arrests included two notorious kidnapping kingpins, identified as Vitali, 28, and Ishiaya Rejoic, 32, who were linked to a kidnapping syndicate operating in the Egbema area.

The operations culminated in the successful rescue of a victim abducted on June 27, 2026.
