Imo NDC Primaries Hit by Ticket Fraud Allegations

Sam Amadi, the former chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and a chieftain of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised serious allegations regarding the conduct of the recent primaries for the Imo State chapter of the NDC. He accused party officials of engaging in ticket racketeering and fraud, claiming that several aspirants were shortchanged.

Amadi alleged that party officials collected money from aspirants in exchange for tickets but failed to deliver them. He noted that some aspirants lodged complaints about having to pay officials without receiving the promised tickets.

Amadi called for accountability within the party, emphasizing that such practices undermine the integrity of the political process. He demanded transparency in the nomination process and insisted that the party must address these fraudulent activities, which he described as detrimental to the political landscape.
