Imo PDP Will Die If I Leave – Ugochinyere

Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, a member representing Ideato Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, stated that the Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would collapse if he were to leave.

Ugochinyere made this declaration during a press conference in Owerri, citing unfair treatment by the party despite his loyalty. He warned that if the party did not stop mistreating him, he would consider leaving, potentially causing a crisis.

Ugochinyere also criticized the state government's handling of security issues, particularly in Arondizuogu, where 26 people were recently killed. He disclosed that he had rallied financial support to assist the bereaved families and called on the government to fulfill its primary responsibility of protecting lives.

In response, the Imo State Commissioner of Information, Chief Declan Emelumba, denied the allegations, emphasizing the government's efforts to address various issues in the state.
