Uba Sani: Inclusive Governance Key to Kaduna's Peace

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani stated that the relative peace in the state over the past three years is due to an inclusive governance model based on justice, equity, and community participation. During a courtesy visit from the National Economic Council Implementation Monitoring Committee at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, he urged other states facing insecurity to identify their unique drivers of insecurity instead of adopting a one-size-fits-all approach.

Sani noted that upon taking office in May 2023, his administration faced a significant trust deficit with the public, which became a priority to address. He highlighted that his administration has successfully tackled ethno-religious conflicts and reduced kidnapping and banditry through equitable project distribution across the 23 local government areas.

Sani claimed there have been no incidents of ethno-religious crises since he assumed office. He also mentioned that over 500,000 hectares of farmland previously abandoned due to insecurity have been reclaimed, allowing thousands of farmers to resume cultivation.
