Uba Sani Advocates Kaduna Peace Model for Other States

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State urged other states to adopt Kaduna's peace model to address unique security challenges. He emphasized the need for community-driven solutions to resolve ethnic and religious crises, which have led to significant loss of life and insecurity in the state.

Since assuming office on May 29, 2023, Sani has focused on four key sectors: education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure development. He reported that Kaduna State has reclaimed 500,000 hectares of abandoned land and reopened 100 schools previously closed due to insecurity.

The governor also noted that 550,000 school children have returned to school, prioritizing education with a budget allocation of at least 26%. In healthcare, Sani aims to improve access with 255 primary healthcare centers and the completion of 20 secondary healthcare facilities.

He highlighted agriculture as a vital economic sector, with a budget of N123 billion for 2023, surpassing the Malabo Declaration commitment.
