Raducanu Falls to Anisimova in 52 Minutes at Indian Wells

Emma Raducanu faced Amanda Anisimova at Indian Wells, where she suffered a defeat in just 52 minutes, with a score of 6-1, 6-1. Anisimova, the sixth seed and a runner-up at Wimbledon and the US Open last year, advanced to the fourth round in California.

Raducanu struggled, losing her serve in the opening game and managing to win only 11 points in the first set. She noted that competing against top players requires extra effort and acknowledged feeling behind in terms of shot power and aggression.

Raducanu has enlisted Mark Petchett as a temporary coach, part of her efforts to regain form after winning the US Open in 2021. She expressed disappointment in her performance but aimed to improve in future matches.

Anisimova is set to face 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko, the 10th seed, in the last 16.
