Iran Executes Protester Ali Fahim Amid Human Rights Concerns

Iran executed Ali Fahim, a man convicted in connection with the nationwide protests that swept the country in January. The judiciary's Mizan news agency reported the execution on a Monday, although the specific date of the execution remains unclear.

Fahim was allegedly involved in storming a military base and seizing weapons. Amnesty International highlighted that Fahim, along with other convicts, was subjected to torture and ill-treatment during detention, which included beatings, flogging, prolonged solitary confinement, and threats to his life.
