Niger State Sets Deadline for 2027 Hajj Deposits

The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board announced that September 20, 2023, is the deadline for intending pilgrims to pay deposits for the 2027 Hajj. This decision aligns with a directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which is based on a mandate from the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Hajia Lubabatu Mohammed Kusherki, the Public Relations Officer of the Board, stated that all participating countries must upload the biodata of their intending pilgrims onto the “NUSUK MASAR platform” by September 20, 2026, according to the slots allocated to each country. Nigeria is expected to upload details for approximately 50,000 intending pilgrims within this timeframe.

Kusherki warned that failure to register and make payments by the deadline could lead to the forfeiture of allocated slots for the pilgrimage. The board is committed to providing guidance and support to intending pilgrims throughout the registration process and encourages them to visit the Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board Office in Minna or designated local government centers for further inquiries.
