Jigawa State Raises N40m for Armed Forces Support

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi launched the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem Appeal, raising over N40 million to support military veterans and families of fallen heroes. The event aimed to sustain the welfare of veterans and families left behind by deceased service personnel.

Notable contributors included government officials, security agencies, organizations, and individuals. Aliyu Shehu, the Chairman of the Armed Forces Remembrance Committee in the state, appealed for sustained government assistance, particularly in mobilizing resources for permanent offices and centralized service structures for veterans in Jigawa State.
