Jigawa Secures FAAN Approval for Airport Cargo Facilities

Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi announced that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has granted approval to install cargo facilities at Dutsin-Ma International Airport. This disclosure was made during a routine inspection conducted by a technical team from the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

The governor emphasized the importance of adhering to aviation best practices as part of his commitment to transforming the airport into a cargo hub. He commended the proactive approach of the airport management in ensuring safety during the calibration process and expressed confidence that the airport would maintain high standards, positioning it among the best in the country.

Governor Namadi expressed optimism that the airport would soon be recognized as one of the best in Nigeria. Additionally, the NAMA team leader clarified that their mission was to check navigational aids to ensure compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.
