Mary Habila's Burial Postponed Amid Police Investigation

The family of Mary Habila has announced the indefinite postponement of her burial, which was originally scheduled for Friday, July 17. The decision was communicated in a statement signed by Elisha Haruna on behalf of the family, citing unforeseen circumstances.

The family expressed their apologies for the change in plans and requested understanding from friends and well-wishers, assuring that a new burial date would be announced once arrangements are finalized. This postponement comes amid ongoing disputes regarding the circumstances surrounding Habila's death, which reportedly occurred at the residence of David Umahi, the Minister of Works.

The Ebonyi State Police Command has maintained that an autopsy is essential to establish the actual cause of death and has declined to release her body until the examination is completed, despite the family's objections.
