Uburu Community Urges Justice for Mary Habila's Death

The Uburu community in Ebonyi has issued a statement urging Nigerians to refrain from politicizing the death of Mary Habila, a nursing student at the Federal University of Health Sciences. The community, represented by Nichola Odi of the Uburu Ruler Council, called on the Nigeria Police Force to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding Habila's death.

They expressed support for Senator David Umahi's call for a comprehensive and transparent independent autopsy to determine the cause of her death. The community acknowledged the family's preference against an autopsy but stressed the necessity of an independent medical examination to establish the facts.

They cautioned against inflammatory statements that could prejudice the ongoing investigation and emphasized the importance of allowing security agencies to carry out their work without interference.
